WHY LITTLE LIGHT

Twenty years of Rhode Island wiring, one family name behind it.

Little Light Electric is owned and run by Neal Laughlin, Jr. Twenty years in, the work is still the same: show up when we say we will, explain what the panel is actually doing, and leave the job cleaner than we found it. Every job is quoted free and pulled under our own license.

What customers are saying

Our panel was original to the house. Neal walked me through what needed to change and what could wait, then did the upgrade in a day. No surprises on the bill.

Marie D. Cranston · Panel upgrade

Called at nine at night with a breaker that would not reset. A real person answered and someone was here before eleven. That is the whole review.

Tom R. Warwick · Emergency call

We manage four triple-deckers and Little Light handles all of them. Permits pulled, inspections passed, tenants happy. Easy to schedule.

QUESTIONS

Before you call

Do you charge for estimates?

No. Estimates are free, including the visit to look at the work. You get a written price before anything starts.

Are you licensed and insured in Rhode Island?

Yes. RI License #A-005373, fully insured, and every permit is pulled under our own license — never the homeowner's.

How fast can you get here in an emergency?

The emergency line is answered around the clock by a person. Most nights we are on site within a couple of hours anywhere in the state.

Do you work on commercial properties and rentals?

Regularly. Storefronts, offices, and multi-family buildings, including coordinating inspections for property managers.

My house still has knob-and-tube wiring. Is that urgent?

It depends on condition and load, but most insurers and lenders want it gone. We will tell you honestly whether it can wait a season or should be scheduled now.
